Repay a Bird Loan
When do I need to repay my loan?
Bird loans are the ultimate in flexibility and user-friendliness. There are no required repayment terms. This means you can repay your loan at any time. You can repay it in multiple instalments or all at once. Just know that you'll continue to accrue interest on the principal for as long as any amount remains outstanding.
How do I repay my loan?
Repaying your loan is simple. Doing so involves essentially the same steps you went through to open your loan.
Step 1: Fly over to the Bird Lending App
Step 2: Connect your wallet
Currently, only Metamask wallets are supported. When you arrive at the app, you'll be prompted to connect. If not, just click the "Connect Wallet" button in the upper left.
Step 3: Connect to Ethereum Mainnet
Check that Metamask is connected to the correct network. If it isn't, you'll likely see a message like this:
To connect to the mainnet, click the network button on Metamask.
Then select "Ethereum Mainnet".
Step 4: Select the loan you wish to repay
Any loans you have outstanding will appear at the top of your borrow list. It will show the amount outstanding in both USD and in the native token. Click the loan you wish to repay.
Step 5: Select repay and Enter the amount
The dialog that opens next will allow you to enter the repayment amount. Be sure you select the repay option. When you've entered the amount you wish to repay, click Repay.
You'll then be prompted to approve the transaction in Metamask.
That's it! Once the transaction confirms, your repayment has been processed.
