BSC Token Bridge
Please note that initially only MetaMask software wallets are supported. Support for hardware wallets will be added shortly.
BEP20 $BIRD tokens are part of the Binance Smart Chain network, also known as BSC. MetaMask doesn’t come with the BSC network settings preloaded. So you’ll need to configure in advance. Luckily, the process is simplified with https://chainlist.org/ which can automatically configure your MetaMask wallet for use on Binance Smart Chain and any other Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) network.
Follow the simple steps below to install the Binance Smart Chain network in your MetaMask wallet:
Search for Binance Smart Chain in the search bar and click on “Connect Wallet”. Make sure to select the “Mainnet” and not “Testnet”.
If you’re not logged into your MetaMask wallet, you’ll be prompted to login.
Once you’re logged in, or if you’re already logged in, select the account you would like to add the Binance Smart Chain network settings to and hit “Next”.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll have the Binance Smart Chain settings available from your network list in MetaMask
If you prefer to setup the Binance Smart Chain network on MetaMask manually, navigate to Settings > Networks and use the following settings:
Network Name: Binance Smart ChainNew RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/ChainID: 56Symbol: BNBBlock Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
Before you use the Bird token bridge you should already have $BIRD tokens deposited to the wallet address that is currently being used to bridge the tokens.
If this is the first time you set up the BSC network, you need to add the $BIRD BEP20 address manually by using Add Token > Custom Token.
Disclaimer: To avoid losses or falling victim to scams, please ensure that you enter the token contract addresses correctly for their respective chains.
You’re ready to bridge your $BIRD tokens from one network to another. The last steps to bridging your $BIRD ERC20 tokens from the Ethereum network to BEP20 tokens on the Binance Smart Chain network are as follows:
When the dialogue box appears, click “MetaMask”
Then click “Next” in MetaMask
Then click “Connect” in MetaMask
Once your MetaMask wallet is connected to the Bird token bridge you’ll be able to see your $BIRD token balance and enter an amount to bridge over to the Binance Smart Chain network (or back to the Ethereum network if you’re bridging from BSC). Enter the amount you would like to bridge over to the Binance Smart Chain network and click the “Swap” button. You’ll be prompted to approve a transaction then you’re done! Once the transaction completes you’ll see your bridged ERC20 $BIRD tokens as BEP20 $BIRD tokens on the Binance Smart Chain.
